Summer holiday

You can really enjoy your summer holiday at Guesthouse Sonnenheim. Due to the weather from Italy and the Adriatic coast, Karinthie has the highest average temperature and most sun hours from Austria. On our own yard you can relax in the garden or at the private pool. In Gmünd you will find the city's swimming pool at walking distance. In this beautiful artists village you can spend your time at the terraces and have a drink in the summer sun. The town's centre is just a 5 minute walk away from our B&B where several restaurants are located.

In Gmünd you can also bring a visit to the Porsche museum where you find a lot of classic porsches.

Further the surroundings of Gmünd has a lot to offer. A great lake the Milstättersee is at a 15 minutes drive, a wonderful place to swim ore go around in a boat. Just out of our town 2 beautiful routes begin, The Nockalmstrasse and the Hochalmstrasse to the Kölnbrein dam (Maltadam) and the reservoir. Also in the close by Matatal is a lot to do from beautiful hiking routes to a water play park under 1 of the many waterfall's

Of course you will find in the close surroundings manny more hiking trails, bicycle trails, ATB trails', lakes, mountain passes, children climb and play parks and much more.

You can plan great daytrips to for example Italy (Venetia and Udine) Grossglockner and a lot more.
